Vishay Vitramon, a Vishay Company since 1994, produces surface mount multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) in 19 industry standard sizes* and voltage ratings from 6.3V to 7200V, with maximum operating temperature ratings up to 200°C.  All Vitramon MLCCs utilize Precious (or Noble) Metal Electrodes (PME/NME) and are built with the Vishay high reliability WET process.

Beyond commodity applications, Vishay Vitramon MLCC’s provide the high quality and proven reliability required by demanding industries including Automotive, Industrial, Medical (including Implantable), Military, and Space. 

The Vitramon Space portfolio supports both Military grade and Commercial grade applications. Vishay Vitramon is DLA certified to supply MIL PRF 123 surface mount devices.  They also offer Military Space grade MLCC’s not currently available as DLA certified 123 caps, but fully MIL PRF 123 equivalent, including 100% acoustic screening and hot IR testing, and 4,000 hour qualification sample life testing.  As a non-standard product, Vitramon will support ESR limits not typically available per MIL PRF 123.
For Commercial Space and LEO applications, where MIL PRF 123 cost and lead time may be prohibitive, Vitramon now offers Automotive Grade MLCC’s with PME/NME Electrodes and tin/lead finish (≥4% Pb).  These devices are qualified per AEC-Q200 with PPAP data available. 

Added value devices include high reliability capacitors designed for specific applications:

·        DC Blocking MLCCs with “resonant free” performance for standard frequency bands between 30MHz - 18GHz+, and less than 0.5dB insertion loss

·        High voltage devices designed to prevent surface Arc-Over

·        Board-flex sensitive applications

·        Special non-magnetic capacitors

·        High frequency MLCCs (ATC alternatives).

Vishay Vitramon MLCC facilities include a 500,000 ft2 manufacturing facility located in Migdal, Israel (certified for automotive, military, and medical device manufacturing) and a MIL PRF 790 DLA certified test lab in Shelton, Connecticut supporting all Qualification and Conformance Testing requirements.
