VPT Components was formed as a collaboration between VPT Inc., a global leader in power conversion solutions, and SST Components, Inc., a MIL-PRF-19500 JANS certified semiconductor manufacturer. VPT Components acquired the assets of MACOM’s Hi-Rel Components business (former Aeroflex Metelics) located in Lawrence, MA in September 2018 and is committed to supporting the current slash sheet qualifications as listed on the Qualified Manufacturer’s List (QML), along with continually qualifying new products.

VPT Components Transistor product portfolio includes NPN and PNP small signal bipolar, NPN and PNP medium and high-power switching, Silicon Controlled Rectifiers, NPN and PNP qualified radiation hardened transistors, MOSFETS, and JANHC and JANKC qualified chips.

All bipolar transistor products are qualified to MIL-PRF-19500 slash sheets and are offered in JAN, JANTX, JANTXV, JANS, and JANSR quality levels where applicable.

MOSFET products are offered in JANS and JANSR equivalent options. Package options for transistors include through-hole (e.g. TO-5, TO-39, TO-18, TO-46, TO-66, TO-78) and surface mount types (e.g. UA, UB and Flatpaks).

VPT Components products are manufactured and tested in the USA at their two JANS DLA certified facilities located in Billerica and Lawrence, MA.

VPT Components Diode product portfolio includes zeners, general purpose switching diodes, temperature compensated zener reference diodes and current regulator diodes. All diode products are qualified to MIL-PRF-19500 slash sheets and are offered in JAN, JANTX, JANTXV and JANS quality levels where applicable. The RAD7130 is a 100V / 22A (die size 3), rated to 100krad(Si) TID and SEE to full rated drain potential using Xe and to Au with proper derating.

The successful completion of TID and heavy ion testing for the RAD7130 device confirms the pedigree of the VPT Components 100V RAD wafer fab process.  The VPTC roadmap includes additional 100V devices in early 2024, including the RAD7110 (6.5A / size 1 die) and the RAD7160 (60A / size 6 die).

The RadHard MOSFET roadmap will next focus on the 250V process, scheduled for release in mid-to-late 2024, followed by 150V and 200V families.  Custom RadHard MOSFETs and accelerated schedules are available on request, contact ES Components to coordinate.

The VPT Components Rad Hard MOSFET roadmap also calls for full JAN QPL Certification in 2024.  In the interim, equivalent JANS and JANKC products are available.

VPT Components offers UB Series Devices through ES Components. VPT Components has the largest portfolio of JAN qualified offering of surface mount discrete transistors and diodes. Types include U, UA, UB and UBC (ceramic lid) packages.
